Bulgaria Ski discussion board

As 80% of you, I was very worried for the snow conditions because I will go to Bansko between Xmas and NYear. But now I can tell you that everything will be fine because :
- last week end in Borovets, it was possible to ski on some runs only, but with good conditions
- the snow forecast is right. This morning in Sofia when I woke up it was a real pleasure to see the city totally white. And when there is snow in Sofia, there is A LOT of snow in the mountain resorts !!!!

Anyway, if some of you can t cancel their reservation, please contact me, it will be a pleasure to buy it for half its price

I m leaving for Bansko on thursday, for 6 days. So I won t be able to give you reports from there, but believe me, you will ski !!!

For information, the best source to know the snow conditions is a Bulgarian website made by the ski organisation. It is all in Bulgarian but you can easily understand if the runs are opened or not, and the cm of snow...

It is the most reliable, and the update the page very early every day !

For example, today
- Borovets 25cm. opened pistes Markudjik 1, Yastrebets 1, and Rila Hotel
- Bansko 10 cm. 4 seats lift open only
- Pamporovo 18 cm. 4 opened pistes (snejanka 1 to 3 + smolyan lakes)
