re: Samakov hotel in borovets 24th Jan?

There weren't many though, and it took about 2 hours worth of refreshing a jammed up website to get it!
But otherwise there's no way we would have been able to afford, so I didn't mind!!

I hope it snows too! I'm totally new to all this but have always wanted to go. I can't imagine more than like a couple of inches of slush... we never get snow where I live!! (i'll be making snowmen while you're all skiing lol!...)

whats the samokov like compared to the Rila? I have always stayed at the Rila but am staying at Samokov for the first time next week.

Flying from Manchester at 15.55 with Thomson. Sams boarding and is refusing to have any lessons so will definitely be a funny week! I ski tho. How about you? Where you flying from? You excited?

My boyfriend is boarding he has had a couple of lesson here but wanted a one day lesson when we get there but i dont know where he could get that, as i ski. Hope i see you we can laugh at them trying to stand up. Were flying from Gatwick. Im so excited i cant wait to get out there, its been a long time waiting...x

Hi Jude,

Ive only ever stayed at the Samakov but ive been told the Rila is more modern, however i find the Samakov has everything you need and the rooms are basic but very clean.

I tried to get Sam to have some lessons while we are there but he’s adamant he is going to teach himself – little sod!

I emailed Fiona (from this site) about Boarding lessons & she came back with some really good prices - both group & private. If you are interested I will forward them onto you?

Yeah please he only wants to be taught for a day and then he wants to do it himself...which is good really because i dont want to be skiing on my todd every day! ha ha x
