We are planning on going after Christmas and New Year as we are staying in my Dad's apartment so have to pay no rent. That's why we are planning on not working and just saving enough money to live. I'm an IT technician and my girlfriend is a hair dresser so I reckon we will be able to get a bit of casual work should we need to.
Hi Craig,
I have just done a season working in Bansko, and i am now still living here. Good job you are not looking for any really work as there is not much around, I work as a ski instructor, but apart from this there is not much else, ie traditional season jobs like lifties and resturant staff are manned by locals. But in genral life in bansko is really chilled, its not the busest of resorts interms of nights out but there are some good ones to be had.

Tips: Get your season pass before the 31st december as they go up in price after that.
Maybe if u can afford it get a little run around, as there is good places to see, plus there is good local skiing around in places like Dobrenshite.
hello
i am also planning a season in bansko (07/0 living in park view apartments with my partner. hoping to find some part time bar work - but it doesn't look too good finding any?!
is there anyway of getting the lift pass from the uk or do you have to be in bansko?
what is the price before 32.12.07 and what is price after?
cheers anne
Sounds liek you have a similar plan to me! You do have to be in resort to buy your season pass as they take a digital photo of you at the desk. The desk opens at the start of December and it is around 400 Leva until the 31st, after that it goes up 2/300 Leva. I have been talking to Vicki on goskibansko dot com as they have a forum. There is a thread on there called "Season in Bansko" have a read as it will help you out quite a bit and Vickie is really helpful.
