Hi everyone
We will be eating out most of the time but it would be nice to have a few bits at the chalet in case we ache to much to go any where.
What are the options on buying so basics for a cook breakfast and some beer to keep handy
Hi Martin
There are at least 3 small supermarkets in Borovets where you can buy supplies. They aren't as cheap or as big as the supermarkets in Samakov. But to get there you would need to get a cab.
Thanks
Don't need much ,just the basics really, its good to know there's supplies close by.
Out of interest how far is Samakov and is it worth a visit ?
Hi Martin ,
Samokov is about 8 km away, the supermarkets have a much greater selection and are cheaper. If you do go and by taxi make sure you agree a price with the driver first or you might get ripped off. Secondly welcome to the board and enjoy Borovets and let's hope for some more snow.

There are some lovely restaurants in Samakov that are much cheaper than Boro. If you fancy a change one evening its worth a visit to one of them.
My favourite is The Old House, really traditional Bulgarian food.

re:Self Catering Borovets
Hi Martin, if you are not doing a lot shopping and will not have much to carry you can go down on the bus, it is only 2 Leva. The bus stop is opposite the Samokov Hotel.
Like Hilly says there are some very good restaurants well worth a visit. We went to the Old House once and the people with us had not been before, when we got the bill they thought it was each, they could not believe it was for all 6 of us.
So as written before Samokov is 25 minutes busride away from Borovez, you will see two of the three big Supermarkets T-Market and Billa if you go down by bus.
The buses goes from the morning 8 till 7 o'clock in the evening every 30 minutes. Its a good chance to eat really cheap and great quality in Samokov, the Old house is great, so I will post you the adress Ulitsa Zahari Zograf 13, so Zahari Zograf Street 13, good to find there is a lighted clocktower.
Even good to eat Shatrata, near ...

In Borovez is a small shop, looking as a Truckstop at the road near Borovez Gardens Aparthotel, you can get in the shop all the small things you need and it is much cheaper as the other markets in Borovez.
