re: Shops for Ski Boots

I would not rush around trying to find boots this late. I would hire for the 1st day and then buy at leisure after your 1st day skiing. It can take a long time to find boots that are right for you and would be easy to make a costly mistake in a hurry.

We went in there to inquire about buying skis and the guy spoke excellent english and was a former pro skier so he knew his stuff, he had a room full of boots!!

If I were you tell her to go to one of the big ski equipment stores in england. Get measured up and fitted etc and then make a note of the model name or number of the boots you like and the mondo sizing and price and you should be able to buy the same boots in Bulgaria for much less money. It might encourage the shops in this country to drop their prices to a sensible level like you would pay in USA or Bulgaria or even France and Austria. Without taking up too much time of a member of staff in the UK you could at least find out which make suits your foot best. I am a Nordica girl even though every time I have bought a pair I prefer the colour style etc of Head or Solomon.
Hope that helps. Its very cheeky I know but I can't afford the inflated prices they charge in the UK.

re: Shops for Ski Boots

Last week I bought boots and Ski's in Pamps. I hired for the first day and then had a look around after skiing. I would recomend you buy them out there. I had a really good deal and saved a lot of money.

re: Shops for Ski Boots

When we went 3 weeks ago to boro some people brought boots from the shop by the gondola and they had problems, so just edge on the side of caution when visting this shop.

If you must buy abroad then know which boot is good for you before you go,a lot of the cheap boots in BG are last yrs or the yrs before that, and are sold cheapy cheap in the summer time in the uk also...

So guy's please buyer beware yes there are deals to be had but know your boots and be carefull with your money..

Here here tiger Tim, Tufty-Duck had excellent service and fitting in Tamworth snowdome and she now swears by fitted footbeds (she swears too much actually!) I muddled by in buying in borovets but i knew what I was looking for and saved about 33%. You pays your money, you takes your chance Razz Booze
