Single female novice skiier at the 'Rila' in Borovets?

Many thanks for all your comments, they are currently being digested. Up to now, I have been on many holiday's on my own. My original choice would have been Austria, but obviously there is no comparison in the price with Bulgaria, ie: £350-£400 cheaper for a 4* Hotel with leisure facilities. However, would you think that Borovets and the 'Rila' would be the place for a single female? and is there such thing as a 'quiet' room at the Rila just in case I did want to get some sleep! Question

I personally as a single female go for the smaller hotel - much quieter and less impersonal. The place to go is the Iglika - many people are only just discovering how good the Iglika is - it's opposite the Rila and therefore, right near the slopes.

Rila Hotel Borovets compared to Finlandia Pamporova?

As I'm currently driving myself with which Hotel/report to book does anyone have any 'for's' and 'against's' between the above Hotel's?

Hi Fiona,

just take a CDplayer with you; it keeps the noice from outside Very Happy

Last year had no problem by travelling alone...just sit somewhere where people can see you, so if anything happen, other people can help you!
(and that's for all country's...basic safety)
