Last year I paid extra for the Intermediate package - they put me with a mix of people including complete beginners. Needless to say I was bored stiff from day one. I complained at the resort and again when I got home - nothing happened- no refund. This year I will be paying for a beginners ski pack and will go in intermediates. I would never usually "cheat" but the ski school was not well organised last year and I ended up paying for a private instructor just to get some ski-ing in. I ...

I then went back in March to get more skiing in - different company/different experience and was skiing down blacks.

Hi AllInteresting debates!
Just picked up this thread - got to tell you I have a "vested interest" in as much as I'm with the English Instructors Ski Team here in Borovets. That apart, email me with any unanswered questions and I'll give you impartial answers as best I can. No expectation you'll put any biz our way. It's important that all who come to Borovets find what they want - so they'll want to come back again!

Are you bulgarian and Have you been racer or are you a ski racer at the minute. have you got the nessessary qualifications and permits allowing you to trade as BG ski instructor.good name for a ski instructors company.To get throught the BG paperwork, pay the permits get the knowledge and find legally customers is just hard I think.good luck to you.

To answer your questions though, I'm English, have the necessary qualifications (not only BG but International too) and permits, and Bulgaria offers as much opportunity as anywhere else to those who deserve it. I have no interest other than what is best for Bulgaria and those people who wish to visit the country and hopefully come again. If this forum is not appropriate for people like myself, I'll happily leave it.
