Please do not think you will get a better deal by booking on the spot in Bansko.
Yes you might be able to bargain for equipment and lessons with some of the smaller ski depots, but the lift pass is non-negotiable it is 50BGL for 1 day / 95BGL for 2 days / 145BGL for 3 days and 280BGL for 6days.
Equipment Hire for 6 days is 150BGL for skis & boots
180BGL for Snowboard and boots
this does not include tuition, so just compare those prices to the pre booked ones!!

i hate to burst your bubble but some places offer 'packs' including a lift pass (in borovets at least, i don't know about bansko).This is what I did last year, and judging by some posts on this board, what some people have done this season. Pre-Booking before you go isn't always an option, and if you do find yourself in the resort without any of the necessary equipment put the first few hours of your first day aside to find the best deal.

Buying your lift pass through the tour operator is a must on price but if you want to get a reasonable price for ski / boot hire in Borovets try the Sunski Snek Bar they only charge on a daily basis at £5 per day.Contact email olleg@abv.bg.

We are not talking about Borovets!!!If you could be bothered to read exactly what has been written, i am explaining that in BANSKO not BOROVETS the lift pass price is not negotiable, and no local ski schools other than ULEN offer the package.
Please do not think because you are in Bulgaria once or twice a year you know better than the Bulgarians

I'm sure no body on this site thinks they know better that the Bulgarians. While we go to Bulgaria we are guests in your fantastic country and really appreciate the very kind hospitality the Bulgarian people offer.Hope you're having a fantastic season.
