I am going to Bansko for the first time in february and have booked flights etc seperately. I have heard that ski passes and equipment are cheaper booked through agents. Any tips for people booking things seperately, or is this a myth?
hi,
in pamps last season it worked out at about £13 a day if you bought a 6 day pass, the priceing system has changed for this season, but cant see it costing more than £100 for the week, hope this helps.
Pass in Bansko is about £95 for the week - compare that to about £190 in some French resorts.....
You may get it cheaper through a tour company but what did you pay for your flights and apartment - probably less than if you went through a tour company.
Swings and roundabouts.
You also have the benefit of not having an annoying rep trying to make you pay for their extra 'trips' etc and you will be able to use your own brain!!
I emailed ski school in bansko using links from this site and was told that cost for full ski package would be 263 euros,£178 for adult and 155 euros,£105 for 6 days.full payment required when booking.
I'm going to Bansko in January but have booked the whole holiday package with First Choice, and the ski pacakge was £108.00, although if you bought thing's separately it would cost more:
Lift pass £81.00
Lessons £67
Skis & boots £43
You could try contacting the hotel your staying in direct, a lot of them have their own website and may be able to help.
