Hello me and three friends are arriving at borovets 17th January
We are begginers and have had a fair amount of practice on a dry slope.
We arrive on the 17th at 12 am. We have booked out snowboard hire and lessons and pass through ski holiday extras.
My concern is my conformation says arriving 17th January ski school starting the 18th does this mean we will not be able to pick up our boards on out arrival date?

Yes the kit will be through Borosport unless your hotel has signed up. The kit is usually well worn for a couple of seasons, leave the ski boots if your skiing alone and hire some from one of the smaller depots. Ski School usually starts on the following day of arrival. You may not be able to pick up your passes as Saturday is a day off for lots of reps.
When hiring equiptment you usually pick it up in the morning use it for the day then return it to the depo at the end of the day, you won't get it the day you arrive, thats for dropping your bags off, getting some lev then have a few beers and chill out. so dont worry its all normal.
Did you hear about the little Zebra who asked his dad for a Manchester United shirt for Christmas?
His dad said "No son, you can support Newcastle like the rest of us"
Hi,
My friends use Borosports, their kit is usually fine for beginners/ inters so don't worry but it varies from new to bit dodgy so just be fussy. On your first ski day, (Sunday) try to get to the ski depot early (before 8 ) as the queues build up after that. Try your boots for size, if they don't feel right then ask to change them. A smile always helps! Even throughout the day, if your boots are uncomfortable just keep changing them til you get a good fit. Also we have always kept our ...

Also we have always kept our boots and skis etc in our bedrooms throughout the week and just returned it on the Friday evening. ( when you get caught the bar after skiing its difficult to get back to depot before it closes!. )
Have fun.
Queenie....aka the real one not PP! Lol. X
Hey toonarmy - looks like you are going to have a fab time. At least the snow, boarding and beer will be able to take your mind off your lot's woeful performance down at the Amex last Saturday. Having said that, you could learn from David Lopez's frankly embarrassing theatrics and not overdo your snow rolls if you take a tumble.
My friend and I arrived on the saturday afternoon last year and our lessons started on the sunday. We were able to pick up our passes on the Saturday and get our skis fitted at the same time. That meant we could go down to the depot on the sunday, pick up our pre fitted equipment and head straight to the slopes.
You will pick your lift pass and equipment up on the Friday morning, this is normal for beginners. You'll probably meet your instructor while at the ski depot whilst picking your equipment up.
We phoned up and are now picking our gear up on the day we arrive we will probally lose a days ski school and we will just pay to rent the gear on the final day cheers
