In which case i probably can't help much as i've never stayed there. I think the Lion is just outside the Resort in Old Borovets and they run a shuttle service into Borovets. I would guess that they use Borosports as the school in which case you should be able to insist on sticking together in the same class. They might insist on you all doing a practice turn and may try and send you off in different groups but if you insist on it then you will ski together

re: Ski school info
as i remember there always seemed to be at least an hour after class for skiing.or you could just tell your instructors your going to have an afternoon off to do your own thing.they normally don't mind, after all,its your holiday not theirs, steve.g
Skater girl. Unfortunately it sounds like you've had a bit of a mate from before you even got there with the panicking over the weather right thru to when you were there. That's a real shame; because as you say holidays are much saved for and great for family time.
I can't comment on other places as we've only been to Boro. However, in the past three years (the first year we learnt from complete scratch and my son was just 10) we've found Borosport instructors to be very good. We've even ...

I can't comment on other places as we've only been to Boro. However, in the past three years (the first year we learnt from complete scratch and my son was just 10) we've found Borosport instructors to be very good. We've even requested the same one for two of the three years and progressed well.
The first year my son went in the kids group on his own and fended for himself. However the last two years he's been with me and we've skid the whole mountain together in the same group. He's been quite the celebrity with the adults and everyone's really enjoyed it. Last year we took time out from my group and joined my wife's. I've seen other people do that and have no problems. We then went back to our group with no problems. The instructors all seemed very accommodating. Maybe they've changed a lot of them this year, or you've been really unlucky!
It's a shame you've experienced what you have. We will probably try somewhere else next year; Italy looking likely. However I'm sure we'll go back to Boro again.
I hope the forecasted snow arrives this weekend. Just two weeks to go!!! All the best for your future ski trips.
Hi,
Borosports usually run from 10 til 12 then 1 til 3 ( or by mutual class decision if different) I've been with Borosports for years and never had a problem. Skatergirl you obviously had bad luck! Lol.
The ski lifts run until 4.15 daily so you could easily fit in some skiing with you kids ( if you dump them at school that is!! Lol) but as Steve said, you can always arrange to meet up at lunch and bunk school together, just make sure you know what the arrangements for your class are for ...

As I've said, I've always found all Borosports instructors that we have had ( or members of our party at differing levels) to be more than accommodating. As Steve said, it's your holiday but I always find that being polite and wearing a smile ( as well as ski gear!) goes a long way.
Have a great trip.
