re: Ski school info

I've just been and ski school was crap. They wouldn't let our kids go off in the morning for lessons and meet with us at lunch. insisted they stayed with them all day. Told them to get lost as we are a family. Why would we want to palm our kids off with other people for a whole day?
I think they run from 10 till 12 and 12.30 to 2 30

re: Ski school info

If you all ski at approx the same level they will let you stay together. Its ability more than age that determines this. You will need to tell them if poss you want to stay as a family.

Hi,
Which Ski school are you with? If you don't know, did you book through your tour company, if so which one?
Queenie.

I guess it's probably too late but if you get the chance then I would recommend Hunters. Used them two years in a row for the kids and they have been great. Putting the kids with them again this year.

Skatergirl, I can understand where your coming from, but pretty sure there is usually a compromise.

We, took our kids a few years ago and had lessons with Borosport. Our children's instructor was lovely and they really liked her. Ski school started about 10.00, we dropped the children off then went on to our own lessons. They stop for lunch at about 12.00, usually you would give your children some money for lunch. We, took our kids a few years ago and had lessons with Borosport. Our children's instructor was lovely and they really liked her. Ski school started about 10.00, we dropped the children off then went on to our own lessons. They stop for lunch at about 12.00, usually you would give your children some money for lunch. The children's classes have priority over adults and they always make sure they are all sat together with their instructor. The children order their own lunch and I have to say (as I joined my children's group for lunch one day), they all seemed to love the independence and the waiters were excellent with the children.

They ski for another 2 hours in the afternoon, finishing at about 2.30 3.00. But if you want to take your children out of ski school for the afternoon then that is usually fine, we never had a problem.

This is where you get such value for money in Bulgaria as ski lessons last the whole day, instead of a couple of hours in the morning or afternoon.

Our kids loved skiing in Bulgaria, they love children. We went to Italy the following year and the instructors were not a patch on their Bulgarian instructor's.

Don't forget your paying so as long as you let them know your plans I'm sure they'll be fine. Our kids didn't want to know us, they want to ski with the friend they had made, even after their lessons had finished!!

Our children were 8 and 11 and it was their 1st time skiing.

Hope this helps

Our kids are 17 and 14 and we are a very close family and don't want to be away from us all day as we don't either.
I have gone into more detail on how crap they were on another thread so am not doing it here. Also we have sarnies yoghurt and fruit for lunch. We have enough fat laden junk for tea in that country! We always make a packed lunch up and we'd always want to eat lunch together. If your kids don't want to know you, fine, if you're happy with that. We aren't Smile This was our ninth ...

Chorley clan, which ski school are you booked in with or which tour operator and hotel are you in? If you are all with the same ski school, the instructors will all have mobils and you will be able to find out where they are taking the kids for lunch. You may be eating in the same place or you should be able to have a word with your instructor and meet the kids, possibly returning to your class later. This will be my 11th trip to Borovets and my children are now aged between 6 and 21 so I've ...

As has been said, if you are are a similar level, you can ski together in the same class

re: Ski school info

Queenie and Emjay we have booked through Crystal and staying at the Hotel Lion.

Me and other half have skied before but approx 10 years ago so very rusty and the kids are going to have a couple of lessons at the Chill Factor before we fly out so we will all possiblly be of a similar level.

Will wait and see what happens when we get there I'm sure we will work something out.

Just looking forward to going now and praying for good snow!
