Further to recent info about the infamous Wall i'm interested to know how far you can progress in a week with the snow school. i know it will vary according to how quickly you adapt but do they get you doing proper turns at good speed as opposed to just snowploughing down the slope?for those of you who don't know it's of the North. Stoichkov.

Depends how good you are, and how few inhibitions you have. I could just about manage a very gentle blue, but some people were able to do red runs. Not quite sure anyone would manage The Wall after one week - maybe two...J

Hay mann if you feel good in the lessons.Then try something harder and progress.
A black ant hard to get down going across its just when you want to turn to got the other way, you may go the rest of the way on your bum, but if you make the turns then keep it up.
The beter you get the straighter you go and still have some control. (so you think
) just have fun and the colour don't matter.

i found parallel turns easier to do and stop,
but i found it hard to go slow,i was doing red runs after 3 days and had never skied before(would have been nicer if it was snow and not ice)the ski class managed to come down the run once on the last day,took them so long as some needed some serious one to one.i passed them 8 times on my own as they were comming down and some of them got so sick they started comming down with me and my 9 year old daughter,
you need the ski school,but it can be ...

If you're like me then you will still be perfecting snow ploughs by the end of 2 weeks skiing - I go too fast apparently to be in control!!On the other hand if you're like my hubby you will be skiing down the mountain by the middle of the first week!!
We cannot be compared!
