i'm going to be in Bansko for the 1st time in January. we re going to live in apartment in Bansko. Can someone give me phone no. of the ski school, pass & to hire the equipment. is it better to book before i come or when i'm there?? 10x
This question will be asked 10,000 times by the end of the season and the answer never changes.
Book it all through your travel agents or you run the risk of paying at least DOUBLE the price in resort. The travel agents buy in bulk and get everything at a substancially reduced rate, so you do not get ripped off in the resort, but you do pay the top price.
When you say you are going to LIVE in the apartments ...
Ahhhhhhhh the first one of the season.
Hi romi and welcome to the board.

When you say you are going to LIVE in the apartments, I presume you mean you are going to STAY in the apartments for a holiday???
I'll add to the question if I may. I last went to Borovetz about 3 or 4 years ago and it was dirt cheap for a lift pass. Do you know if thats still the case and if so, any ball park figure?
You know, it really gets up my nose when people revert to the saying "ripped off".Arne't the Bulgarians just trying to make a decent living???.
He He He...........
Sorry pp, couldn't resist!!!

Scooby,
The packages offered on this website for Borovets is 156.OO pounds. This is for 1 adult for 6 day skihire, tuition and passes.I can equal this price in the resort. It is not double the price if you do not wish to book ahead.
Fiona
are you making the arrangements yourself? if so lift passes last year were £100 pound per adult slight discount for kids, through travel agent was £75, ski hire we paid 110 euros for two of us plenty of places to hire from, don,t know about ski school though. But if you are booking through travel agent as pete has said you can get a full package a lot cheaper.
No they will not John, you are absolutely correct but romi has not stated that he/she is travelling independently.
And Fiona, Bulkan offer the full pack -- Lift Pass, Ski School, Skis, Poles, and Boots all for £99. Whether you can match that is not the point, the cost at the Malina would be double that if you were to purchase it on arrival. FACT!
Yes i'm going to travel independently, we have a friend's apartment there. I wish if I can have a website or email addresses so I can book everything before I come.
