Hi all any tips we are staying in Hotel Perlik and it is my first time skiing... All tips greatly aprreciated. I am heading the 23rd of Feb to 2nd march!
1 Do not eat yellow snow.
2 Point ski's downhill not up its just easier.
3 When talking to locals do not shout and wave you arms around, it does not help them to understand you.
4 Do not fall in love with your ski insrtuctor. They have big enough heads as it is.
Tracey, I've just returned from my best ski holiday ever, we stayed at the perelik last week you'll love it, it's got so much to offer, take full advantage of everything going on in the hotel, just next door to the hotel is the bbq restaurant (opposite white hart) it's a fantastic place to eat, the foods superb, a real Bulgarian feel to the place, I hope the resort of Pamps works for you, I bet you end up going back again and again as I will be.
ENJOY !!
Hi, Stayed in Perelik for last three years, doing the Murgavets for a change next week. The Perelik is the heart of Pamporovo with connecting tunnels to the Murgavets and the Orlovets so if you want a change of bar you don't have to put your boots on. In terms of tips I do not think there is much to say, the ski station bus starts at back of the hotel which is good, rooms are ok if not luxurious, hotel is warm, staff friendly and the club DJ's is frequented by everybody in Pamp's at some ...

My first skiing experience was at Pamps in 05 and loved it ever since, just wish I could ski better.
Thanks a million for all the tips cannot wait... can't say for certain i won't fall for the ski instructor... i always taught that was the point of a ski trip!!!
Hi Tracey, Perelik is great. 26 of us stayed there in Jan. We had 14 kids with us aged 4 - 17 and there was something to do for all of them which gave us adults a lot of free time. One thing to watch though, had a bit of a problem when checking out as the receptionist tried to make out that we all owed for items from the mini bar which none of us had used (it gets emptied the day before leaving by the maids). The skiing is fantastic and great for beginners - hope you get Stoika as your ...

Hi, If you have pre ordered the beginners ski pack then all you need is a few Leva (6, I think) as a deposit fo your lift pass. I have found that the exchange desk next to the reception in the Perelik give very competitive rates and so I just take sterling plus the few Leva left over from last year for tips to the hotel bag carriers and a drink. Amount of money depends on how much you drink, do you want to eat out on an evening, do the skidoo ride, etc, as a minimum I would take £250 per ...

Amount of money depends on how much you drink, do you want to eat out on an evening, do the skidoo ride, etc, as a minimum I would take £250 per person and take it from there, there are ATM's if you need more, as said depends on you Apres Ski needs.
