Have you been to Borovets before?

re: Skiing over Christmas

Some winters could be very good snow cover some Decembers -a bit quite.
Almost deffinite all of the lifts wont work from day one and all of the runs wont be opened before NY.
There will be few flights for the first week landing and spreading them for the 3 BG resorts.
No locals -they will flock for the NY day or two and up to 7th Jan.
Bars and places will be opened almost fully anyway.
And ski hire ski shops will be ready to meet and greet new comers with a smile at the beginning of ...

If you head to Bobbys Bar as a starter you will get an honest opinion on all the good and bad places but be careful you may never want to leave.

re: Skiing over Christmas

My first skiing holiday was a couple of years ago and it was in Boro over Xmas. Great atmos. There's no real no go areas. It's a small town and everything is minutes walk away.

As above, Bobbys Bar is run by the friendly and most helpful people you will come across. So that's always a good starter for ten. Be prepared though. They don't understand 'non alcoholic' beverages.....

See you there!

I went to Pamps last year. Loved the skiing but the place was very quiet over the period. Was a bit like Butlins.

Coming with a group to Borovets and a roudy lot at that.........!
