Skiing weekend March

I'm looking for a cheap skiing weekend at the end of March -26th for 3-4 nights....and quite fancy Bulgaria.I have a couple of questions...
What is the snow like in Bulgarian resorts this late in season and which resort would be best?

been mid March a couple of year ago-last couple of year had a couple of bad seasons all over Europe though, so may be different this year, looks better early season in Borovets anyway-Then the lower slopes were all broken but up top of Gondola was fine, some good skiing and wall to wall sun all week(got one hell of a tan!)-re: Skiing weekend March

Have been mid March to Bansko several times and had good snow. Last year was really good late dump so I went out the first week in April in my son's half term (think we went about 5 April). As PP says - the tour agents have stopped by then (end March though not 10 March) so you have the possibility of good snow, lovely Spring sun and empty slopes which we had last year. I booked with EasyJet and got an appt independently. Loads in Bansko so you would not have a prob. Going early March ...

As PP says - the tour agents have stopped by then (end March though not 10 March) so you have the possibility of good snow, lovely Spring sun and empty slopes which we had last year. I booked with EasyJet and got an appt independently. Loads in Bansko so you would not have a prob. Going early March this year but will keep a check on conditions and may just sneak an extra early April week in if conditions allow - Bansko has been good for later snow the past couple of years but who knows - all in the hands of the Snow Gods!

pete- just checked- Balkan appear to be doing holls right to the end of March(into April!), thats 7 day holls though not weekend breaks and the likes- i went through them a couple of years ago mid March. Still ot cheap though!re: Skiing weekend March

It takes a while sometimes for replys to load! thats why so many posters appear to have repetitive postings! they click the send button again!I learnt that way too!!
