Last March I opened the hotel bedroom window for a little fresh air, couldn't believe the smoke from all the wood fires drifting in, love Bansko but feel sorry for the fresh air breathers out there, the smoke hangs like a Victorian smog over the town.
I don't see the bulgarians upholding any ban. It's a country where most people smoke and having lived under a communist regime in the not so distant past they don't take to being dictated to. Understandable.
We were in one restaurant and a bulgarian lit up in a non-smoking section. It was good to see the restaurant staff go over and insist that they leave that section. They actually sent them outside. - Can't remember where we were though....
