Hopefully it will be, but yes, I agree it must be a bit pants for those out thee at the moment. Hopefully they will get things back up and running soon and get back to normal. And mark, if the road isn't open, he will just have to stay another week? I can think of worse places to get stuck!

Things are not great in Pamporovo. They are still without electricity. Many places have no heating and garages are closed as no elec so fuel is limited. Only lift working is the 1 man chair so not much fun on the piste either.
The guests out there currently will not be having a great time. I have one couple there currently I am a little worried about. The guy took ages to persuade his gf to try a winter holiday and was hoping this short break would change her opinion and that she would ...

The guy took ages to persuade his gf to try a winter holiday and was hoping this short break would change her opinion and that she would love it so much it would become an annual event! I just hope they get back ok today.

Yes I think my son will be glad to be coming home tonight. We had a brilliant first week though, and this is one of the slight risks which come with snowsport holidays. We have been going to Pamporovo over the last 10 years or so and it continues to improve.

If I were the boss, I would order the demolition of any partially completed buildings in the absence of a commitment from the developers to complete the works by start of next ski season. I would also wave a wand to get the White ...

If I were the boss, I would order the demolition of any partially completed buildings in the absence of a commitment from the developers to complete the works by start of next ski season. I would also wave a wand to get the White Hart reopened, and next year I am looking forward to the new Two Bridges lift taking some of the pressure off of getting up to the tower, although to be fair, queues are generally light except in peak weeks - half term and Liberation week.

Power been out here in Pamps since 4pm yesterday. Help!

The whole region is without power from Devin to Smolian

Only some Hotels operating with generators and only in certain areas of their building
Only one lift working today obviously. the wall drag lift so technically the resort is not closed!

Best forecast is power back on by this afternoon
worst forecast is Wed morning
Still snowing and is creeping toward a 2 metre dump since it began Friday midday.

Hard to find a power ...

Currently typing this on the Orlovetz lobby bar plugged into their coffee machine.

They are using helicopters to locate the damaged cable somewhere in the mountains as we speak, according to the ladies in the marketing office here.
The army has also been called in to assist.

Oh the joys! Big Irish group arrived at the shdzanka last night

Didnt even take their bags to the room before they 'attacked' the lobby bar, bless em!

Sorry to hear about your predicament Jody. I'm out on Friday so unsure whether to bother or not.

Any updates from resort would be really appreciated.

Cheers

Well webcam is up and running in the town centre, and it looks like power has been restored.

Powder Hounds need to be getting excited as the indications are that things are beginning to look up !

Hope to meet up with you when you get here. Look for a Brad Pitt look a like - others less kindly souls suggest Phil Mitchell! I will let you decide
Bar Staff will point you in my direction.

Have a safe journey.

Best Wishes and Happy Skiing
