Snow cannons

Hi All,I'm due to fly out on 30th to Pamps.
As we have all very well gathered, there is a lack of snow. Does anyone know if the skiing is good with the snow cannons on their own? Just trying to be positive now!!
Are there any activities that can be done in the daytime other than skiing (apart from drink of course)?

There are insufficent snow cannons in Pamporovo to make any real difference. Cannons can only operate between temps of -3 to -7. Even then there are too few to cover the slopes of Pamporovo.
As a seasoned traveller to Pamps, I still am convinced that you will have enough snow by the time you arrive.
If not, the instructors will fill your day with fun activities.
10 pin bowling, swimming, shopping, day trip to Plovdiv, etc........... don't worry Jo you will have a great time.. ...

Cheers Pete,Well, we're there until 8th so we should get to do some skiing even if it isn't as soon as we get there.

I know Danny, but I feel for those who have not been before.
The BIG blame is on the tour companies who start the season too soon. We both know that the real snow does not arrive in Bulgaria until mid- Jan yet they still encourage people to venture forth from mid Dec.
Like yourself, we NEVER go until the end of Jan, and we always get GREAT snow.
Shame you are not going this year, which I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT
But the weather is beyond our control, no matter how hard we try ...

Last Jan it was great. I cant immagine pamps without snow. So fingers crossed and hope that PP is right again.Tom

Not only are they starting the season early they seem to be pushing it back as late as possible as well. As for you not being happy about me not going this season how do you think I feel? It was ok until the first lot went out and then I got really annoyed and to make matters worst the bloody webcam now works!!!!!What is even more annoying is I arrive in Canada as the ski seaon finishes and their could still be loads of snow about
