We left yesterday - snow up top was fab.
No snow in the town below but you can ski back down the ski road to the Gondala station It was slushy in parts and hard work on the flat bits.Make sure you have enough speed on the later parts of the slope, make yourself as streamline as possible and use those poles to ensure you don't grind to a halt over the bumps.Though I'm sure by the time you go the whole resort will be blanketed in snow.Have fun -we did- it's a fab place.
We did intermediate ski school absolutely fantastic instructor - Stan - who spoke very good English.
We all improved dramatically - conditions at the start of the week were icy so he taught us stuff to deal with that.Later on in fresh deep new snow he taught us what to do in those conditions. It was my first time skiing abroad - learnt indoors and I was doing red run by end of week - all down to fabulous instructor.
