I will stick my neck out and say that the fresh snowfall between Wednesday this week and Monday/Tuesday next week will be sufficient to totally rejuvenate the current poor snowpack and will allow the rocks, tree stumps and gravel to be suitable covered again. However, that is assuming that the temperatures will remain as low as currently forecasted and the wind doesn't pick up too much to blow the fresh snow away.
I'm off to bansko this Saturday (27th) and am still confident that I will be skiing on a good fresh snowbase that will be getting progressively better throughout the week after the piste grooming machines and snow cannons, operating at full capacity, have done their magic!
