Snow/Moon Boots

Off out to Borovets in march for what will only be my 2nd Ski holiday. Gonna be staying at the Lion, am well excited (just hope the snow picks up!)

Anyway, opinions wanted please on snow/Moon boots - is it worth investing in a pair and if so which are the best to get as seen a lot of different sorts i.e roxy/quiksilver/oneil type furry boots (which look more like fashion and ugg type boots) and there seems to be the other sort; the campri/tecnica etc types.

Any guidance? Very Happy

re: Snow/Moon Boots

I wouldnt leave home for a ski holiday without a pair. Aldi had nice/good ones in stock in the last few weeks, and they were as cheap as chips. I bought a similar pair a few years back, and they are still as good as new!!

re: Snow/Moon Boots

I just bought some on Ebay, trying to pack light as Thomson now say our actual ski boots have to part of our 20kg luggage allowance, so thinking 2 pairs of skinny jeans for the week with some moon boots was my best bet!

I just searched for snow boots and got loads of options, cheap too, don't see the point in wrecking £100+ Ugg boots in the snow.

We're at the Lion too, go on 28th Feb, watching that snow....

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo................
Moon boots are a 70`s throw back, don`t do it.
Get a decent pair of Cat`s or similar, ankle boots with good soles and waterproof, some even with thinsulate insulation. More servicable..

Steve

From an 80s throwback (ha ha) find moonboots more comfortable and a bit more girly like than my walking boots, although last time in Boro did take those.

And I know I'd rather have my comfy moonboots on after a days skiing than Timberlands.

Ha ha Steve - you are indeed a 70s throwback hon Razz

Not heard the reference 'moon boots' for a long time - it reminds me of a big squishy fluffy pair I had once. I take walking boots now as take less space in my case or bag and I wear them in evenings wherever but do agree a nice pair of moonboots comfy to slip your feet in at the end of the day - on a par with sliippers me thinks Razz

I was born in 74 but was a child of ra-ra skirts, leg warmers and moon boots.

Makes you feel old when all these things make a reappearance and you remember them from first time round!

re: Snow/Moon Boots

Cooool, cheers all! Yeah think I shall be investing as they're only about £20 odd delivered off ebay and I'm soo tempted. Dont think wearing proper boots appeals after a hard day on the slopes though from my POV, despite it prob bein the sensible option!

Will update when I recieve them, on my opinion of toastiness lol!!
