Snowblades on planes?

re: Snowblades on planes?

I packed my snow blades in a soft long holdall type bag-I had to search for a bag long enough to accommodate them-my blades are quite bulky as they have conventional bindings but there was no problem -I wrapped clothes around them and checked them in as usual-avoided extra carraige payment.

The subject line of this topic sounds like a dodgy Sammel L Jackson film. Smile

re: Snowblades on planes?

Hi the bag I used has IT on a label(international traveller)-I bought them in a luggage shop at Gun Wharf Quays Portsmouth-not too expensive or I wouldn't have bought them-it measures about 1 metre long-my blades are 95mm-it was the bindings which made the packing more difficult-good luck-Hazel

re: Snowblades on planes?

Yep hold bag long enough and shouldn't be a fee to pay for the blades, am still debating whether to stick mine in with the big skis, guess it'll come down to how heavy the bag is!
