Some of the bulgarian insructors who worked for Gary have now set up a new place where the shack was that does hire. Pete and iLia also do some board hire from the white dog as far as i know.
The Castle has boards too but not sure of the prices!
There is a place up at Studenets near the Grand Monastery Complex. I forget the full name but think it is "Steve's Ski something". It is at the top of the steps from the car park, where the no 6 green run meets the Wall and the chairlift up to Snezhanka and near the learning/nursery slope.
Hi Pamporovo Villager, I am in Pamps right now, this is my first time here. I got in touch with Gary (previous snow shack owner) via email and he said that a guy called Ivan had now taken over the snowshack and that all his gear was new.
When I got here on the 23rd I went straight there and decided to get all my stuff from them for a week as it was by far the best I had seen. The stuff still had the labels on and they were just putting the bindings on the boards!

I think we paid 120-180 lev for 6 days, sorry can't remember exact prices the people running it are really nice and v v helpful. We have had lessons with them too, I think it was 45lev for 1 hour and maybe 55 lev for 2 hours per person. We had a guy called George, his English wasn't brilliant but I could understand him and he was really very good. It's my theirs day and I did a red run today
Anyway, I would suggest you go there and if the amount of boots I see drying at the end of the day is anything to go, so would a lot of people in Pamps!
If you tell them Ian and Hayley sent you, they might be extra nice.
How's things with you?
We have always used Mirone at Studenets + had no problems.
When are you heading out? We hope to be out on Feb18th for a week, maybe catch up with you then?
Joff
Was trying to avoid that weekend - was there last year on the BG hol (3rd March, liberation day I think) + it was the only time we have ever had to queue for the lifts. Also the Village was packed that weekend + we missed out on some rental!!
Lets hope the snow holds up!
