Does this mean that the easyjets and ryan airs of this world wont be flying to plovdiv in the near future, i have always hoped of being able to get a cheap flight to plovdiv up the mountain to pamps in 2.5 hours a long weekend sking and home again. Has my bubble been burst.lloyd

I've just booked for next year with Thomsons, and im flying into Plovdiv, I rang them earlier to make sure they had booked me for Plovdiv and I let them know of the chat about a possible switch to Sofia, they have now confirmed im going to Plovdiv !!re: Snowy Norman - An Apology

No Pete - be magnanimous and agree to a draw - the flights into Plovdiv could well be subject to a last-minute redirection at a later date

Sofia is often fog bound, so flights have to be rerouted to Plovdiv.The communists evidently built Sofia airport where it is so the mountains and fog would give protection from USA spies

I know when the first page on thomson/crystal comes up with a list of hotels it just says sofia if you then click to book a hotel you get offered the choice of plovdiv or sofia. I booked for next year a few weeks ago and have had my confirmation through and it says plovdiv and if they change it later I will not be happy. Like people say it will affect numbers going to pamps as I know I personally prob couldn't face 4-5 hrs coach transfer from sofia as I only just make the plovdiv ...
