Anyone been to Soldeu in Andorra before?? Just got back from Borovets had a brilliant time, now booking up for next year but not sure where to go! Thinkin Soldeu or maybe saving the extra cash and going to the three valleys in france. Any ideas????????

Do you mean the three valleys??? its not cheap there i thought it was the biggest ski area in europe?re: Soldeu
Funny enough I went there this year after going to Borovets for the last 2 years.
I think both resorts had many good points and not too many bad.
Borovets on the plus side offered
Great value, great choice of nightlife, very friendly, welcome families, short coach transfer, good instructors, great views, night skiing.
On the minus side
limited choice of runs, average snow record (based on my times there), not that it bothered me but it wasn't that modern. The resort relied ...

Plus side for Soldeu
Fanstic choice of runs (100+), great snow record so the brochures say, average value, great for families and beginners. English is widely spoken by the instructors - I didn't have lessons so I don't know if they were any good, runs very quiet, snowboard area, very modern.
Minus side
3 hour coach transfer, night life was a bit limited, no night skiing,
To be honest I really loved both resorts. Definatley more of an atmosphere in Borovets but the skiing was better in Soldeu. All in all I'd go back to both.

prices in the resorts are high but the skiing makes up for it.
did pamps the last 2 years, had a great time.
went to soldeu several times back in the 80's had a ball of atime and did borovets
in the early 90's still in the iron curtain age, very basic.

I was in pas de la casa.I thought Andorra was excellent I went at new year.the choice of slopes is excellent as this year for the first time they have linked all resost slopes together on to one ski pass so you can ski from Pas de la casa to soldeu and right to the other end.They have the best snow record in europe. I would recommend pas if you want nightlife it can't be beaten for the apres ski but if its quiet you want go to soldeu.I found the prices reasonable as well only marginly more ...
