Speed cameras - any more info

Any more news on the speed cameras on the slopes?

I heard they were bar-coding people as they check into hotels so that it's easier to trace them later to impose fines. And if you don't have the correct change for the on-the-spot fine they can take your skis away for the rest of the day Sad

re: Speed cameras - any more info

It is alas true, they are concealed behind trees on most blue and green runs.

They are set to flash at speeds oveer 15 kph and your skis are chipped to pick up the flash. Your fine will be imposed as you return to the ski depot.

Private skis have a temporary chip attached to coincide with lift passes.
Lift pass will fail to work 1 hour after the camera has caught you. You can only re-instate your pass once the fine has been paid at the ski depot.

Fines are set at 50 Lev.
