Last day in Borovets today - didn't ski at all. Gondola shut due to high winds, Rila slopes open but slush and ice and mud!!!! Grass skiing is fun though!

Night skiing has been on all week - hubby did it Tuesday and it was great, but icy.

People were bussed in from Pamps mid week apparently....though Gondola was shut in the morning due to high winds, so was pretty busy.

Getting warmer as the week went on: 20C predicted for tomorrow!!!!! Will sunbathe while waiting for our flight!

On the plus side, there is very little ice to break your ankle on outside the shops/bars by the Rila......have seen plenty of slings and crutches though, and an instructor was crashed into yesterday morning and has ruptured his knee and achilles tendon....ouch!!

We did manage to ski all the way to the bottom from the gondola yesterday - was a bit muddy and rocky towards the bottom - hubby had a spectacular fall hitting mud! You have to walk the last 20mins (or get taxi!). (New blades I bought him for Christmas are scratched to bits! Being serviced tonight for 20 Lev).

Had a fab time though....fingers crossed it will snow again before it all melts!
