Hi all

I do not normally post here, but feel I may need to clear up a couple of things about the ski lift & 3 ski runs that are being implemented in Stoikite.

1) The lift is going in, but as yet there are still problems with ownership of parts of the land where the lift is planned, the lift starting point has already been moved 200 meters higher due to ownership issues ( people not willing to sale the land )

2) The lift work was to start at the beginning of April 2007 and be finished for the 2008 winter season, the only work currently going on is some clearing.

I may be wrong on these points, but from speaking to people in Stoikite who actually know what is happening, i.e Mayor, local architect they are all of the same belief that we will be very fortunate if this lift is even built let alone operational by this winter.

Also the lift is planned to be placed on the corner of Orange County, not on the road to Smolyan.

Hope this clears a few things up.

Again as I said I may be wrong on these, but I gained this information 2 weeks ago when I was in Stoikite.

Also I know some of the land owners who are refusing to sell their land. Hence why the lift plans have already been moved once.

I hope I am wrong. Fingers crossed.
