Supermarket Value Pamps

Its difficuly times in the UK and the rest of the world and we are all looking for value for money.

A large % of people to the site must have bought off plan or new build and as such are self catering.

Has anyone in BG, thought of a regulr coach trip etc advertised to the big supermarket in Plovdiv so they can do a stock up?
I am sure this is a bit of a money spinner!
If not can you let me know the cost of a bus and a driver?

Interesting thought. Would it be beneificial to travel as far as Plovdiv though? Maybe a trip to Smolyan or Chepelare would be enough.

Metro in Plovdiv do offer more variety though!

Surely it would be cheaper just to go straight from the airport to Plovdiv. Most owners will be getting private transfers anyway, so sharing THAT cost might be the way to go?

re: Supermarket Value Pamps

There is a new 'mini' supermarket in Chepelare, on the main street / square, where the furniture store used to be. If you can't get to Plovdiv there is a lot more choice now in Chepelare than last year, and its much more reasonably priced than the shops in Pamps.

The one in Smolyan is very similar to the one in Chepelare - they both have frozen sections etc.

For some it will give a good choice at normal prices and easier for people if they dont have transport of their own

re: Supermarket Value Pamps

How far away is Smolyan? and is it back along the same road towards Chepelare? and how far away is Chepalare? I must get a map before we go out there as I do intend to do some exploring of the area. Where is the best place to get a local road map from please?

Missizippi

You can buy road maps at the petrol stations - not sure if they all stock them, but the one just before you enter Chepelare does.
