but the punters refused old peters cloud
the day has landed they have taken the bait
the words cant wait they yell out loud

when pete returns and checks the text
he may well buckle and give a shout
his time away may leave him vexed
of all the fun that he misses out
and when the sking he plans next
he may just decide to stay about

Checked the webcam every day
Seen the snow and watched folks play
Passports ready, new socks bagged
Bags dusted off, soon be tagged
Ski boots tested, they still fit
Added other bits of kit
9 more sleeps, then off we go
Please don't use up all the snow!
