It's not often I'm lost for words, but as I sit here today having opened the post ................ I am gobsmacked.
When I decided to get involved in this appeal, I did so hoping to raise a few quid - I thought it was the least I could do to try and give back somethng to a country that has given me so much over many years.

Hi all.
It's not often I'm lost for words, but as I sit here today having opened the post ................ I am gobsmacked.
When I decided to get involved in this appeal, I did so hoping to raise a few quid - I thought it was the least I could do to try and give back somethng to a country that has given me so much over many years.
So, I appealed to you - the posters, to help me and to see where it went from there.
You responded by openng both your hearts and your purses. Almost all of you that have sent me money are people I have never met, and unfortunately I probably never will meet - but who knows. You just decided to post money to a complete stranger who was asking for help.
You'll never know how humble and special that feeling is to me that you have trusted a complete stranger with your money - and be sure I will never let you down on that.
So what am I leading up to.
Today I received cheques totalling £245 towards the appeal.
My heartfelt thanks goes out to the following people for todays contributions.
Bridget Doolan
Kevin Elliott
Roisin Monahan
A dear friend who wished not to be named
Bibbyb0bs (who forgot to sign his cheque )
Bob - can you let me know your address so I can post the cheque back to you for signing.
This now sees our current total sitting at a staggering
£1,033
Beyond my wildest dreams ............ and still we have 5 weeks left to run.
What we have achieved together is awsome. We reached for the Moon ... and we've got there - so why not head for the Stars now because this rocket ain't burnt out yet
I thank you on behalf of the kids who will never know you and will never be able to thank you for what you've done.
I love you guys SOOOOO much!!!!!!
PLEASE - if you've not yet been able to donate - we need every penny you can muster - PLEASE
WOWOWOWOW.
That's just brilliant Pete, that works out at almost €1400 for the fund.
Amazing. I told Amanda earlier as well, I'm making a collection box to put next to the till in my shop. I'll try and make it as official looking as possible with my amazing art skills (not)and send whatever I make to you or Amanda.
Well done Pete.
Great news!!!!!!
This is absolutely fantastic - I was really overwhelmed when I read this post today. When you make up your mind to do something you definitely don't get sidetracked do you. And still time to run and then it's up to us on the day to collect a much as we can to make the total a truly memorable one.
Let's hope that everything else comes together and those kids can soon enjoy some of the comforts that we all take for granted.
Pete, you made it! Congratulations. I am so happy for you, for us and more - for the children. I never thought it would get to over £1,000 by this date. You have done so well and all you lovely people out there, Thank you, it will make such a difference to those children.
