Anyone else staying at the Bor Hotel (Borovets) in the week starting 27th Jan? - Or has anyone stayied there before??? What is it like, is it close to the Bars???

The walk "up" to town (yes sorry it's up hill on the way) is about 10 minutes (in snow/ice/carrying skis). My apartment is just round the corner from the Bor hotel.Easy to get a cab if you're prepared to pay 10lv (about £4).
The walk back is much easier, i always thought it was because it was downhill... but maybe it is the beer... Managed to ski back about 3 times last week

Takes about 15 mins through the snow. Should be a hotel bus during the day, and it's only 10Lev in a taxi or horse drawn "carriage"Alex.

10 minute walk - clears the head in a morning after the beer the night before! Far enough from the bars to avoid the chaos, but still well within staggering distance!re: THE BOR HOTEL***********
They weren't running the Ski bus last Feb...But the walk is quite nice!!

I was in the Edelweiss (sister hotel, next door to the Bor) and there was non bus from there either.The Stig, When in Feb were you at the Bor? we were there at the end!
