Taxi from Sofia to Bansko

Can anyone tell me if its better to pre book taxis from Sofia to Bansko or to just get taxi at the airport?
Anyone know any decent taxi companys?

Never get a long distance taxi from an Airport, they are always v expensive. try ringing bansko tourist board or A taxi company in Sofia (use google for tel #)

Its a three and a half hour journey so it will cost a good bit.

have got taxis a few times from sofia to bansko..
loads outside airport.. you can bargain with them
going rate is usually about 80 - 90 euro and do not book return as it's about 75 euro from bansko to sofia in a local taxi of which there are loads.. enjoy..

There is a taxi office in the airport. You speak to them and they give you a bit of paper to give the driver. It is supposed to stop people getting ripped off. I have only got taxis into sofia itself. This was very cheap. I have no idea how much it would be to Bansko. I would think about £40-50. Some people have said in the past that you can give a tour rep a few quid and they will let you on their transfer bus, proving they have some space.

3 1/2 hours??? Were you on a bike...

2 1/2 in Jan this year, and that was before they opened a new section of motorway which apparantely knocks up to an hour off that (though slightly sceptical)
