Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Nice one Lord Lewis, what a completely true and accurate report. As you know i was there and witnessed some of the above. without trying to sound sarcastic... did we have a balkan rep ? because i do not recall seeing one. the only reason we got through that first morning in the gondola station was because we were there last year and we knew the score. Bansko was fantastic last year and i would still go back next year. So Mr Volunteer we are only telling it like it is. We had a great holiday but were let down this year and poeple need to know about it .

are you talking about a board saying mealtimes? Thats still not much good if they arent the times you required / were expecting...

for goodness sake, we all love bulgaria but are you really saying that there is nothing wrong at all with the resorts? 99% we expect, put up with and accept, but occasionally issues ARE unacceptable.

Icy slopes, poor food, cold weather, bad taxi drivers, cash machines out of order are acceptable. Or at least expected.

Having mealtimes shortened, access to leisure facilities banned, equipment stolen and a sub-standard rep ARE NOT acceptable.

Volunteer, you say "To name people on the board is unacceptable, Bulgaria has laws and regulations governing this and i hope the appropriate action is taken against you." I completely disagree with you. I never heard anybody complain when hotel staff/ reps /ski insturctors etc were named in a positive light, sometimes even their contact details posted on this board. Secondly, please quote the Bulgarian laws that restrict freedom of speech.

Sorry but this guy is a complete and utter twat. You have to leave your skis outside on the rack. I had major problems trying to take my skiboards into a couple of places on top of the mountain. But i was not going to leave them outside. You are having a laugh, i have lost poles and know someone who has had skis stolen before and have not been charged for them. He is free to give his opinion and warn us. Peoples reviews and experiences are the only ways we can decide. Also in my opinion the balkan rep was pretty useless and would not have liked to be in a position where i had to find her/him.
