Just got back from Bg. and catching up . Firstly, I make no apologies for writing about the orphanage - it is headed up Orphanage, so all you moaners and saddies out there why are you reading this ????? This will be my final post on here as the energy on here is so bad now and I cannot understand how grown "men" have nothing better to do than posting in such a manner - for Godsake get a life!
I am the guilty one who started this off and make no apology. I met up with Amanda a couple of years ago and she was desperate to get help for these kids and I offered to help. I posted on a dozen forums and wrote to many organisations, as this is the only way I knew how to help and it paid off. Before last winter these kids had no warm clothes to wear, let alone heating and some great people gave help and thank you to each one of you.
Well, for the people who are reading this you obviously have an interest in the Orphanage.We are almost at the stage of getting the heating put in and this could not have been done without the help of a lot of good people. It has been a long hard slog but we are nearly there and I must confess that I will be relieved when it is all done. Andie and I visited and there are a few new faces and some of the "old" - Julie, Merko looks well and still gives the biggest smile ever. As we were leaving a new girl turned up, she looked so young. It was great to see some of the other kids take charge and comfort her.
As Andie said, we will not post any more re the orphanage but for those of you who visit the area and want to help please do not forget these kids - they will always need clothes, footwear and toiletries. We cannot help the world but if we can help just one child, wherever they may be, then surely this must be worth it. For the people who will not be reading this thread, because it is about the "Orphanage", enjoy your skiing and your and your moaning and being nasty to each other and hope you sleep well at night - NOT
