Hi Ian,
we are pamps fans and have an apartment there, but this year going to bansko 8th - 18th feb.
Great place, lovely town, good apres ski, skiing is good and loads a snow at the mo. Apartment? loads available or book a hotel.

All we are fussy about it cleanliness and heating Smile

a close proximity to a good cocktail bar is always a plus as well

ian,
we are staying at bansko towers, looks to have great facilities, and only 200 meters from the gondola.
did an internet search to find accomodation and there are pleanty available, all good as most are new.
try and get somewhere near to the gondola / town.

the main lift that takes you to the slopes.
bansko resort in at the foot of the mountain in a small town.

The largest, enclosed, sit in lift up the mountain, runs on an overhead cable.

Wow... Are the ski passes alot more expensive at that resort then...

or do you have to pay separate for the gondola?

Lift passes cover all lifts from drags to gondola in both Bansko and Borovets. You will notice a difference after Pamps as they are larger resorts. Boro is village based at bottom of Rila Mountains and has lower slope skiing - as seen on web cams and skiing up the top of mountain reached via gondola.

JustBorovets.com has a web cam showing lower main slope and pictures showing the top of Boro. Sorry not sure of Bansjo web cams.
