Just a couple of fotos taken up top in Borovets this morning.
Last foto on page 5 and all fotos on page 6.
The fotos taken of the avalanche bowl is untracked due to Markudjik 3 not being open, due to avalanche risk.
The powder is that deep that you need fat skis to get anywhere!

When all the fresh snow hardens up, another dump and off piste will be unreal!
My husband skied the lower slopes yesterday, Sytnakavo and Martinovi baraki (Rila side) and says they are all in good condition.
Yastrebets 1,2 & 3 runs today have very good snow coverage and the Musala pathway is open but a bit scappy through the tree covered areas.

We are looking for 6 adult passes for Borovets for 1-6 March inc.(6 days) We failed to get them with ther travel agent as we booked too late. Can you do a deal on them? Thanks for your time. Mark
Hi Fiona,
Very nice pictures indeed ! I know every place there, I only "puzzle" about photo nr. 10 (first page) - with the 2 - 3edge houses - are they located at the new slopes near Samokov city ?
Nice to see the good snow conditions dec. 2007 / jan. 2008 - I also was in Borovets this time. Super conditions.
Looks the same this week.

i think the photo you refer to Nico is of the cafe at the bottom of Markujik 1. Not sure if that cafe is open this year. I guess Fiona will know for sure
Hi Skialot,
Photo nr. 8 is for sure at the bottom of Markujik 1, photo nr. 10 is not I think. If you look at the "sky-line" in photo 10 you can see ( looking north) the "stara planina" ( the old mountains/ the balkans ) located from the west in BG to the Black sea ( east) , so the picture must be taken ( crossing) from the south towards the north, from a higher location. Fiona, please help us out !
