re: Too heavy?

Well, if you aren't an experienced skier then I would defo advise to get out of your way or they could get squashed! Very Happy

re: Too heavy?

I would say so. What level skier would you say you are i.e. what colour runs do you normally ski and do you ski off-piste?

re: Too heavy?

Set at 5, because I have had two achilles ruptures to my name, The guy said it will offer more support and stableize the achilles.

re: Too heavy?

Was going back to 8.5 but not skiing like I was able to, I think I will go back and get another opinion, He seemed to be checking and re checking the chart.... got me thinking again now!!!!! Neutral

re: Too heavy?

My worry is that I don't see how a Din setting can relate to stabilising your achilles. All that a Din setting does is to adjust when the binding will release the boot. Any achilles support will have to come from your boot.

My stats:

6ft
14st 4lb
Ski: black runs and off-piste (fairly aggressively)

and my Din's are set at 8!! I have never had a problem with them releasing when they need to either.

Do you ever find that your bindings are releasing when they probably shouldn't have?

re: Too heavy?

it is down to how aggressive you ski not just the slopes you ski. cuz if your happy skiing at a 5 leave them there if not get someone else to set them.
