HiMe, bf and our 3 primary school children are off to Bansko Kempinski Grand for one week on 15th March. Never skied before in our lives - can't wait
Definately going with an open mind and my eyes open!!Just wondering what the transfer time is from the airport to the hotel. Will I need to bring snacks for the kids for the journey, that sort of thing.
Any advice would be appreciated.

3 hours on a bus, so yep bring travel snacks for kids. Bus should stop for pee/refreshment stop. You will love kempinski and love the mountain, old town has a certain rustic charm but don't be too disappointed with it all looking like a building site, from your hotel to mountain is all fab.re: Trabsfer Time from Skofia to Bansko

Joe - you're not necessarly wrong - but it shouldn't take much more than 2 hours with clear roads and a decent bus, however neither of these can be guaranteed.

Thanx 4 all your replies. We are all realing looking forward to our week away. Can't wait to try out this skiing thing as I am a 43 year old youngster!!!

joyou will love it, I would say on a coach it is around 3 hours took us 2.5 in a taxi, they do stop for a break, plus it will be late when you get there, the kids will possibly sleep most of the journey if your liucky.

SLEEP!!! you gotta be joking, my three are sooo excited that I think we will be the first in line to get out skis etc on the sunday morning!!Anyone got any tips for us to make our week an enjoyable one.

Layers, rucksack, shed full of mars bars, maybe carry spare gloves for when the first pair of the day get wet, until I bought a Gore-tex pair, it was luxury to take a fresh dry pair out of a plastic bag put the soggy ones away
