I hope everything goes well for you and your Aircraft manages to land in Sofia.
We had a comical experience last year. We flew from Cork to Plovdiv. The flight took off two hours late. Approaching Plovdiv we were told that it had just closed so we flew to Sofia. We had a comical experience last year. We flew from Cork to Plovdiv. The flight took off two hours late. Approaching Plovdiv we were told that it had just closed so we flew to Sofia. Two hours flyin over Sofia (we could see the lights on the runway) and they still wouldnt let us land due to some scare??? The pilot then heads to an Airport in Macedonia. The fun had just begun!!! Our buses were at Plovdiv, then headed towards Sofia, but turned back when they heard we were heading to Macedonia. Three hours in Macedonia and still no sign of a bus....and no one spoke English. After 5 hours two minibuses arrived to take some of us halfway to Bansko just past the Greek border, where a taxi took our group of four to our hotel. After 22 hours travelling we took to the slopes.....the bad travelling experience well forgotten hurtling down Banderisza (2) and taking the wrong turn onto Tomba (9)...werent long waking up then!!! Back on the ski lifts to do it again.......Lovin it!!
We are all heading out to Bansko again on the 31st of January hoping to at least land in the correct country!!!
