Went to Borovets last Christmas and had a fab time. Woke up Christmas Eve for first day of holiday to the sound of bells, looked out of window to see SNOW well a little bit anyway, the horse drwn carriages lined up ready for business. Following day had burger and chips for lunch which was very strange for Christmas day but were attending the gala dinner in the evening. I cannot speak for Pamporovo Hotel as I stayed in Samakovof Borovets last Christmas. The tables were all laid up nicely and we were given 3 courses with wine followed by coffee and mints. There was a lot of effort put in to the food but it was not our traditional Christmas dinner. Take your own crackers if you like that as I cannot remember if we had any. Hi Bambi,
I cannot speak for Pamporovo Hotel as I stayed in Samakovof Borovets last Christmas. The tables were all laid up nicely and we were given 3 courses with wine followed by coffee and mints. There was a lot of effort put in to the food but it was not our traditional Christmas dinner. Take your own crackers if you like that as I cannot remember if we had any. There was a table of about 12 people all dressed as Santa which made the evening feel good. Entertainment was put on and everyone had a great time. It was a fantastic experience and I would certainly do it again. I would say go and enjoy yourself as you will meet lots of other people like yourself, who are all looking to have a fantastic Christmas holiday that they will always remember.
We were at the Gala dinner last Xmas in the Finlandia, started at 8pm, bit disorganised but everyone got fed albeit different courses at different times. Chicken, stuffing, pot and veg, and plenty of vino. They had laid on entertainment and that was ok, traditional dance and by the end we were all up dancing. Dont expect Turkey, bread sauce, roast potatoes, brussel sprouts, xmas pud, brandy sauce, mince pies. But hey, when in Rome!!!
