Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Hi folks,

For those who have been reading my forecasts will see that they are not bad. There are many websites out there offering forecasts and these can be very hit and miss and rely on what "should" be happening in a ski resort this time of year. I will be honest and state that my forecasts are based around Borovets, being Lat 42 and Long 23. Sometimes the weather can be similar in the other resorts but I don’t have the time to look at pages of data for the 3 resorts and give 3 different forecasts. I can only apologise for that if you are heading to Bansko or Pamps but they will be similar to Borovets.

As I have been saying the temperatures are dropping fast. I noticed in Borovets village yesterday they peaked at +2C, but today around -5C but it is going to get MUCH colder by Tuesday before they rise again leading up to next weekend (Fri 20th) After this. It is not certain to what they are doing but early indications suggest a period of around zero or -1 to -2.
As for snow, Sunday through to Tuesday and probably constantly. Maybe not too heavy though.

But here is my bold prediction and putting my reputation on the line !!! From the 19th there will be 10 days straight of snow with some significant falls over the weekend into the early part of next week (24th/25th)
Please do not shoot me if the snow lays off for a few hours within the 10 day period, but I am sure it will be snowing on each of the 10 days. There you are its done !!
