WHAT'S YOUR FAVE SLOPE EATERY IN PAMPS??

Our instructer parked us at The Ranch each lunch time...couldn't complain - food was good, atmosphere was canny ....only those steps were a bit ropey when your legs had gone!

What's other people's favourite gaff on the mountain?

petes .. the irish bar just be4 middle station .note this is half the price of all other . the ski insructors will not take u here as the ski school do not get commission from it.
but u can go at lunchtime and meet up with ur instructor afterwards.
u can save alot of money this way.
and the food is xcellent

ski insrtuctors will take you only in places where they get some dosh on the side and will make sure they advertise it all the time in front of the group .it is business after all even on the slopes.

Prices were really reasonable anyway - and everyone has to make a living, so we didn't mind

That is not altogether true.

I have had lessons in Pamporovo about 8 times with Michael, (2) Boran, Katia, Tony, Marco (2), and Vasko, and the instructors have always asked where we would like to stop for lunch.

Please don't generalise because they are not all the same.

Actually, ours always asked us too Pete, apart from on the first day when we wouldn't have had a clue where to go anyway. We ended up going back to the same one for the last few days because we all loved it there so much. Our instructor Kris really looked after us - made sure we all sat together and so on. A lovely guy!

gotta agree with PP--sure, the instructor will take you to a 'favoured' place if there are no particular requests, especially first day, but they generally will stop where you want. at the end of the day you are the customer, plus, if you are happy (and you will be cos Pamps ski school is THE BEST) you will like as not tip the instructor well at the end of the week.......and maybe come back again, and again, and again.....
