Walking distance from Gondola to Yastrebetz 4 man chairlift - BOROVETS

Hi,

Went to Boro for Xmas 08 and going back Jan 10. Did not manage to go to the Yastrebetz ski area section as they are mainly red runs and this was our first time skiing for many, many years. We did walk to the Gondola so I just wondered if anyone knows how long it takes to walk from the Gondola to the Yastrebetz 4 man chairlift or is it a hop on a horse and cart distance??

It's quite a long walk uphill. You'd be better taking a horse and cart.

An easy walk along the road will take you there - appox. 15 min.

only 300 m (uphill) , no problem.
Have a break at Petar Popangelovs restaurant.

youre having a laugh...300m yeah right, get a taxi or a horse and cart, youll be knackered otherwise

its about 30mins in the summer without ski boots or any gear. I would say it is about 1.5 km. Best to get a cab or horse and cart. Or if you are on a shuttle bus ask them to drop you there

If the gondola is running get the godola to the top then ski back down to the area covered by the 4 man lift. You can then ski that area and when you are finished ski from the top of the 4 man lift back to the half way station and catch the gondola down. That way you dont have to walk and there are no taxi fares just skiing all the time

no its about twenty minutes walk jump a cab or cart save your legs for skiing
