We have finally booked for the 17th.................. sadly not for Bulgaria though. We have been holding off for weeks now waiting for the snow to come so we could book and there have been some great deals on the web, Unfortunatly we decided today Pamps can not guarentee any skiing for us so have booked for Arinsal instead, We deeply regret doing this as we learned to ski in Pamps and love the people and the place but no snow no skiing, If any one has any info on Arinsal i would be grateful ...

Arinsal is a good substitute, its basically one big slope with loads of different ways down. Could be boring after a while but you can also take the cable car over to pal and theres some great runs there too. We went to Arinsal last year and go again in March, dont know much about the nighlife coz i was tucked up in bed by 9pm, but my teenage lads seemed to enjoy it! All the people we met were friendly enough so it gets a thumbs up from me. We've done pamps 5 times and love it but Arinsals ...

Thanks for the reply. We have seen some great write up's so looking forward to it, We are too long in the tooth for all night drinking now and like you a nice meal and a few drinks and to bed for 10.00 o clock, Where did you stay in Arinsal.
hi Bambi, we stayed at the princess park last year which was very good. We're on a bit more of a budget this year so staying at the hotel arinsal but its still a nice place. We did our drinking etc. in the quo vadis pub which had a great atmosphere and was a fun place to be so looking forward to it. I forgot to mention, your lift pass covers you for both resorts, arinsal and pal so there's plenty of skiing to be done, im sure you'll love it.
Bambi, dont be sad, you have made an informed decision based on the conditions, you havent used this as an opportunity to slag off bulgaria like some other posters seem to. I expect you will return to bulgaria in the future, personally I think it has much to offer, but sadly at the moment snow is not one of them, hope you enjoy Arinsal.
6 days to go!!
We are staying at the Palerine which i believe is about 10/15 minutes from the gondola, We were aware of the lift pass but thanks for reminding us, We will remember the Quo Vadis and pop in for a drink or 2, Did you say you were going out this year if so when are you going.
We could never slag off Pamps as we have had some great skking there over the last 5 years and we have visited Borovets once but we are still drawn to Pamps, It was only supposed to be a quickie after Xmas before we go of to Canada for 2 weeks skiing and had our hearts set on it just to get our fix, We will go back next year and will wait till later in the season when the snow is greater. We were just being greedy snatching an extra week.
We are you stopping in Arinsal, If you get the chance for a live update on the skiing conditions would you post one or even email me direct , I would be really grateful.
