Weekend Snow at Sofia Airport?

Looking at the forecasts particularly the BBC weather report for Sofia suggests that it is going to get a dump Saturday and Sunday. Just when we are flying in. Does anyone who is more knowledgeable about these things have an idea as to whether it will be significant enough to delay flights and onward connection to Bansko?

Don't worry Charlie - Sofia copes much better than us when the snow falls. I also will be landing there on Saturday and have no concerns whatsoever.
It will be my 15th time (I think) landing there and never been diverted once.

yep rough a few years ago couldnt land at plovdiv got in at sofia, they couldnt get the steps to plane snow was so deep.scary

pretty clear but our buses were waiting ar plovdiv, had to wait for them then travel back got in about 4.30 am

Biggest problem has been fog over last few years but doesn't seem to have been a problem this year so far

If you fly on a Bulgarian Airline you are sure to land as they are all ex military pilots and can all "blind land" at Sofia.

If you hav British pilot you might get to see the Bourgas or Solun!
