What to do in Pamps if you not skiing

Hello, this is avalanche's wife, going to pamps in jan, I've been skiing lots of times. done ski school, had private instuction and sadly I still cant ski (dont laugh) however i love Bulgaria and so am going with family and I'm having a non skiing holiday, (well, maybe I'l have a little try of skiing again,( not sure yet) so... does anyone have any idea's what I can do during the day, we staying at murgavets hotel.

Swim, eat, drink, tobbogan, husky sledge ride, observatory, shopping in Smolyan/ Plovdiv, treat yourself to a massage and other treatments to suggest a few.

cheers, thats my week sorted then, whats the observatory? , how far is to Smolyan, also have heard there is a orphanage slose by, does anyone know where it is? Thanks

I think it may be Stoikite or Shiroka luka, Smolyan is about 15 km away and the observatory is where a big telescope is housed

You could go on a trip to the caves at Yagodina.

EEEK. the mere thought of me on a snowboard, gives me a panic attack, I'm bad enough on skis, thanks for all your advice though, I'm sure I'l still have a great holiday, first time in Pamps and am looking forward to it.

snowboarding is easy.....or at least I think it is. I have never tried skiing

avalance - the orphange you mention... is that the one covered recently in a documentry shown in the uk (bbc?)

yes I think it is.... last year it was mentioned on this forum, some people took toys and things to it so I think it must be close to pamps
