black runs
actually you will be surprised you will be doing snow plough turns and hopefully your first blue run, I did not learn very well in ski school at all, so had two days private tuition which were well worth the money had me doing parallels on the first day
It depends on the individual, I did a black run on the 4th day, although that's probably not advisable. My sister on the other hand never progressed to more than a blue in two weeks.
After that week, stopped skiing and started snowboarding - have never looked back since.
On top of this, it's great not to have to wear ski boots, or lug skis around. Boards are easier to carry and I challenge anyone to look good walking in ski boots
Seriously, why do boarders look "cooler"? After all, we all now where the same gear, we both go off-piste and we both drink in the same places.
If anything, as skiers spend more time stood up than sat on the piste surely they are cooler. And as for walking, well it's all about how good you look on the slopes not on the lash?!
